On Monday, February 16th, I completed the final walk-through of my condo in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago.  Closing is set for the end of March and move-in will commence on or about April 1st.

The builder has done an excellent job. Very few items were noticed that needed attention. I had my orange sticky dots prepared but you'll be hard-pressed to find too many of them in the photos that follow. The ones that are there are mostly denoting small, cosmetic items such as oversprayed paint or leftover caulking.

For having only the three windows, I remain impressed with the amount of light this space has.  I still haven't decided whether or not to bother with window treatments; the only people that can see me would be from 1-1 1/2 blocks away on a moving El train.

The builder was able to salvage many of the original architectural features from this historic building such as the plaster piece shown at the right.  Also notice the column in kitchen which was repaired and the details left on the ceilings.

For perspective, see the floor plan here.
